Who We Are
Each Sunday, you’ll find a gathering of people seeking to know about God. Our worship service is meant to enable all of us to experience the presence of God and to take that experience into the rest of life—loving our neighbors and serving others. While our worship tends toward the traditional, it isn’t stale or static. Worshipers are invited to connect through music, prayer, and scripture. Services last approximately one hour.
Children in Worship
All God’s children are welcome in worship! We have a Blessing of the Children during the service. Following that, children are invited to go to Godly Play for a time of wondering about and exploring the sermon scripture more deeply. Child care will be available for those under 4 years old. Our Prayground will be available on the first Sunday each month when we celebrate The Lord’s Supper.

EVENTS
Adult Faith Formation & Fellowship
Fellowship “Hour”
Sundays, 9:30 a.m. and following worship in the Parlor.
Join us for coffee, water, treats, and social time to gather with friends and greet one another.

Onward and Upward
Older adults join together on the 2nd Thursday of the month for an engaging program followed by a delicious lunch. Invite friends, come and learn, and fellowship together.

Women of Faith
Mondays, 9:30-11:30 a.m., Parlor
This group is open to all women. The only requirement is a desire to continue your faith journey. We discuss a variety of spiritual studies.

Adult Faith Formation
Following worship on Sundays September through May, adults are invited to attend a Faith Formation session. We host a variety of guest speakers, interesting issues, and sometimes just fun!
Children, Youth, & Family Faith Formation
We meet the third Sunday of the month beginning with dinner at 5:00 p.m. following food and reflection, we divide up and enjoy a time of Christian Formation for ALL ages. Jessica Commeret will lead adults, Darcy Metcalfe will lead youth, and Meg Ramlow will lead children K-5th grade. Childcare will be provided for those 4 years old and younger following dinner.

Book Studies
Each Fall and Spring, we host a book study to learn more about scripture or a particular topic/issue. See our E-News or bulletin for details.
Mom Co Monthly Meeting
On the 3rd Wednesdays (except during summer) we continue our monthly meet up of moms of all-age children from 9:00-11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Childcare is provided with RSVP. Refreshments, fellowship, and community.
Men’s Group
This group is open to all men of our church and meets on the second Sunday of each month. Let’s get to know each other better and share our work and faith stories. Hope to see all of you there.

Sarah Circle
A “circle” is a women’s group that meets for prayer, study, community building, giving and fellowship. Special projects raise funds for our church and mission work. Sarah Circle meets from September through May for fellowship and Bible study. They support local charities and mission and welcome new members.

Lunch Bunch
Thursdays, Noon, Room 113
Bring your sack lunch and join the fellowship with one another for a casual lunch time every week! On the second Thursdays, this group joins Onward and Upward.

Knit Wits
Fridays, 9:30 a.m., Room 113
Bring your needles, yarn, and great spirit to share time together knitting prayer shawls and other crafts.

MISSION
Our Mission
God calls us to love one another. Here at First Presbyterian Church, we have a history of caring for the least of these and continually imagine how we can love in deeper and broader ways. We believe that mission is done in partnership and alongside those we are serving. Currently, we financially support many local missions, but also participate in hands-on missions.
COMMUNITY DINNER
The Community Dinner outreach provides a nutritious home-cooked meal on the 2nd Sunday of each month to the community. Volunteers meet at 9:00 a.m. on the 2nd Saturday to prep the meal. The Community Dinner is a great way to show God’s love through the gift of food and fellowship. A sign up to help will be available outside the Church Office or contact Tracy Kennedy.
DARREL THE BARREL
We are focusing on filling Darrel the Barrel each month. Darrel benefits City Mission, and this helps us walk in closer partnership with them. See our newsletter or bulletin to learn what items we are currently collecting.
MOBILE FOOD PANTRY
FPC hosts four mobile food pantry distributions throughout the year in cooperation with Chopin Hall and other community service organizations to provide food for the hungry throughout our community.

GIVE
The role of stewardship and giving
Stewardship is a life-long commitment to the careful and responsible allocation of the gifts God gives us. This includes financial, as well as sharing our time and gifts for the good of the kin-dom. During the fall, we talk more about our financial gifts and how they enable us to accomplish the mission God is calling us to. We are grateful for the generosity that enables us to move God’s work forward in our church, community and the world.
Giving encompasses many aspects of the church-tithes (which support the ongoing mission of the church), Music, Nursery School scholarships and more. We appreciate all gifts, knowing God will bless and multiply them!
