Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women is a church-wide organization whose membership is open to all women. This organization gives strong support to the mission of the denomination and determines its own leadership, program, and budget. First Presbyterian Church Presbyterian Women are part with the larger church women, by connecting and participating with Maumee Valley Presbytery Presbyterian Women, Synod of the Covenant Presbyterian Women and the National Presbyterian Women organization.

Mission
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to:

      > nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
      > support the mission of the church worldwide,
      > work for justice and peace,
      > build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Giving
Presbyterian Women has been recognized by the Presbyterian Church for its dedication to mission. In addition to pledges to the local congregation, Presbyterian Women gives through Presbyterian Women nationally. Two special offerings are also taken. The Birthday Offering was started in 1922 as a challenge to give one penny or a dollar for each year of your life as a “birthday gift.” The Thank Offering began 100-plus years ago as a “thank offering to our Lord.” Medical areas receive 40 percent of the offering and new creative ideas for mission receive the rest.

Circles
A “circle” is a group that meets for prayer, study, community building, giving and fellowship. Special projects raise funds for our church and mission work. First Presbyterian Church of Findlay has two circles that meet from September through May for fellowship and Bible study. Both support local charities and mission and  welcome new members.

Sarah Circle
Meets on the third Friday of each month for lunch at noon in Room 112.
